Whit's happening! - issue 3

man-2546107_1280

COPE Scotland started a wee list initially of things to share with the team, about COVID 19, to share with clients. We decided maybe colleagues and the wider public would find it helpful, so we shared it more widely, people were kind and said it was helpful, we decided to do it again.

As time moved on, we realised this was less about what's on and more around 'whit's happening'

This is still an evolving info mag, which we aim to produce every 2 weeks.

If you would like to include something in it, or, see an error then please contact us before the 4th May 2020, and we shall see what we can do about including it in issue 4 due out 11th May 2020

These are strange times for us all, but maybe finding a place where we can find out from reliable sources what's happening, we can mitigate some of the challenges these times present as well as maybe getting some inspiration for a bit of fun or activity. We try where we can ensure any sources in this mag are from reputable websites, there is too much misinformation around, its important people can access information which is reliable. If you see anything you think needs changed tell us.

Stay safe, know people care, find a reason each day to smile even for a moment. The Whit's on this time includes:

  • Tips for coping when life feels strange
  • Some things to maybe get involved with
  • Services and supports
  • Abuse and protection from abuse
  • Children, young people and families
  • Death and Grief
  • Emergency services websites and COVID 19
  • Employment, Business, Information for employers
  • Finance and money advice
  • Help during the COVID-19 outbreak
  • Helplines
  • Mental/Emotional Health and stress management

Be kind to yourself and each other, stay safe, this will pass and for now, its how we look after each other that can help the time till it passes be less challenging.

We all have it in us, to build a kinder world, sometimes, one conversation at a time.
