COPEScotland's website has always been a place where we have sought to share useful information. We plan to explore what else we can do on the site e.g. Podcasts.

As we go through this time together; as we are all in it together, how we work together, share, care about each other will make a huge difference.

We have always been led by the voices of lived experience, and we want, what we develop online, to be helpful.

Please share your ideas, questions you may have via our contact page, and we shall do what we can to answer them by collating things people ask and featuring them as blogs including, links to sources of reliable information where we can

It is tempting at this time to get caught up in misinformation as the web can be full of things, some of which may not be as helpful as others. For the latest information on COVID19 please visit the official sites which are being updated all the time:

If you are supporting a community group or third sector organisation, then this is an information site set up for the Third Sector:

scvo.org.uk/support/covid-19

SCVO is also asking if your organisation can share or cascade information to other organisations as part of their COVID19 Stakeholder Network to let them know. COPE Scotland have joined this network as we believe it's working together in a spirit of kindness will help us get through this with less suffering.

scvo.org/support/covid-19/join-the-covid-19-stakeholder-network

SCVO has also set up a community assistance directory, this resource will enable people to find help as well as share what help you can offer. We have listed what we can offer and encourage others, where they can, to also help by registering on the directory.

This will provide a resource for local people to see what is in their area, as well as agencies, see where there may be colleagues, they can join efforts with - https://covid-19.scvo.org/

COPE one to one service has moved to be a phone support service during this outbreak, the brochure in this blog gives more information on the service at this time, as well as some useful contact numbers where what we offer isn't enough. We are a small team, but we want to do our bit to help and still be there for people. We know this isn't going to be easy on individuals, communities, groups, services, organisations, countries, nations. COVID19 doesn't just affect us as individuals, its affecting people all over the world. But together, in a spirit of kindness and sharing, we can suffer less.

Stay safe, please FOLLOW OFFICIAL GUIDELINES around COVID19, please DON'T' PANIC BUY, we all matter and need to get through this. COPE Scotland shall do what it can to help as are other partners.

Please visit some of our colleagues Facebook and social media pages to find out more:
