The power of affirmations on self-talk.

We shared previously a blog on the power of poetry and affirmations, which included sharing copies of our confidence affirmation cards online.

To celebrate the new poet laureate being appointed and also the theme of mental health awareness week 2019 and our new video on 'what are you saying to yourself, because you are listening' we thought we would share another set of affirmation cards on ''Life Purpose.'' Our new wee video is all about our self-talk, affirmations are a good way to help retrain our internal voice to be kinder and offer hope.

Poetry is language at its most distilled and most powerful

How to use the cards

Take a card at random, every day, week, or when you need it, reflect on what the message says to you, if that card doesn't speak to you, select another.

They can be used alone, or in groups or even at team meetings to help the team focus and also care for their wellbeing.

Pick a card at random and share it on social media. We know these cards are online so maybe scroll down and stop at a card at random, reflect on, what did that card mean to me, what new message will I repeat to myself.

We will share each day through twitter different affirmation cards drawn at random please feel free to use these images to share with others.

Affirmations have real power, they can shape how we see the world, ourselves and our relationships with others, why not work on your own affirmations to inspire and offer hope. Remember, we are listening to what we say to ourselves, so please be kind to yourself as words do have power.
