Wee Tips to Help Reduce Suffering caused by Chronic Pain!

This wee piece does not replace professional advice from a health care provider relevant to your condition. 

This is simply some wee tips which may help alleviate the suffering of chronic pain. 

We put together these wee tips as we recognised with COVID19 and all the challenges that brought often people were suffering even more than usual.

Chronic pain whether physical or emotional can be totally draining, it may even lead someone to thoughts of suicide, please if you are thinking of suicide talk to someone. Samaritans 116 123 your life does matter, and you matter.

The wee tips sheets also offer some other website or links which may be helpful for you. 

Having a support network can help and in addition to friends and family it's worth seeing which other groups maybe have their own peer support groups, or, online classes, or information which may offer some respite e.g.

Sometimes when we feel overwhelming pain, we can turn to strategies which maybe distract in the short term, but in the long term can lead to more challenges, alcohol, gambling, overeating…….

We would love to have a magic wand to take all the pain out of the world until we find that all we can do is maybe help each other suffer a wee bit less.
