Queen's Nursing Institute for Scotland

Promoting excellence in community nursing

0.0/5 rating (0 votes)

People attending COPE Scotland suggested some agencies and workers awareness of self-management or ability to offer support or education on self-management could be improved.

We were fortunate through the Transforming Self-Management in Scotland fund to explore what could be done to help address this.

We recognised we could not do this alone, so went into Partnership with Queen Margaret University 'Centre for Person-Centred Practice Research' who were considering something similar.

Together we secured additional funds from the Queen's Nursing Institute Scotland and with people with lived experience are seeking to understand how to maximise the impact of Scottish community nurses on enabling people with long-term conditions experiencing depression and/or anxiety self-manage their mental health.
